New Gallery Space Frames Art and Nature With Simplicity and Elegance
CCA Santa Fe is a hub for world-class contemporary film, performance and visual arts. Housed in an historic World War II armory, the space has been renovated and expanded by Atkin Olshin Schade into a modern visual arts gallery. The new Muñoz Waxman Gallery includes a two-level lobby and event space that overlooks a larger gallery. Prep areas, storage and bathroom facilities have been located at the rear of the building. The project enhances CCA’s presence in the arts-rich community, presenting a new, iconic landmark. Additional projects include a trail from the new gallery through the on-site sculpture garden to the restored Skyspace installation by artist James Turrell at the southwest end of the property.
