Santa Fe Opera Renovations & Addition
Santa Fe, NM
Contemporary Fabric Structure Expands Program Space
The internationally-known progressive Santa Fe Opera was founded in a ranch building purchased by John Crosby in 1956 that has evolved into the business, management, and promotional venue for the Opera’s campus north of Santa Fe.
We also worked with the Opera to restore the historic character of many of the existing rooms and outdoor spaces. The project dramatically upgrades the historic ensemble, including the entry portal and the remains of an 1880’s log cabin discovered in one of the interior rooms during renovation
We also designed renovations to make all five levels of the building accessible, replace multiple roofs, upgrade administrative and meeting areas and add a major new reception and entertainment venue in a large, outdoor, covered courtyard.
