AIA Philadelphia Young Architect Award - Paul Avazier

We are pleased to announce that Paul Avazier has been awarded the AIA Philadelphia Young Architect Award for 2016. The Award acknowledges Paul for his excellence and promising future within the field of architecture including his demonstrated excellence in design, practice, and education and for his service to the community and the profession.

Paul received his BArch from Drexel University, Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, where he graduated cum laude. His leadership within our firm, dedication to clients, and strong work ethic led to him being named an Associate in 2015. Paul manages many of our firm’s significant assignments including projects at Drexel University, University of Delaware, Loomis Chaffee School, Episcopal Academy, Friends Select School, and Lafayette College.

In addition to his leadership within the firm, Paul is currently a Director of AIA Philadelphia where he is actively involved in the Mentoring Program and Exhibit Committee. The Mentoring Program brings students and practicing professionals together to discuss a variety of subjects within the field of architecture. Paul’s community service also includes working with Drexel University as a juror for thesis students and as a mentor to 2nd year students.

Paul is the third member of Atkin Olshin Schade Architects to receive this prestigious award. Principals Sam Olshin and Shawn Evans were honored with the Young Architect Award in 1998 and 2004 respectively.
