New Additions to the AOS Team
We are pleased to announce recent additions to our staff: Gustaf Kamp, Jennifer Kim, Aaron Woolverton, Nestor Kurtz and Joanne Ho.
Gustaf Kamp has returned to AOS Architects as a consulting Project Manager for Harwood Commons at Franklin & Marshall College and Azalea Apartments at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an accomplished architect and has worked in both our Santa Fe and Philadelphia offices. Gus is also passionate about biking and rail transportation and is the Chief of Operations & Development for Renegade Railriders / Revolution Rail Company, a sustainable recreational railbike touring company which he founded in 2015.
Jennifer Kim joined AOS Architects in May of this year. Her experience in commercial interiors and in model fabrication has aided in many recent projects including the Richards Medical Research Labs at the University of Pennsylvania the Robert & Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection at Drexel University's URBN center. Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union and worked for a year as an intern architect in Seattle. Not entirely sure she made the right career choice, Jen left architecture to spend one year in the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical program at the University of Pennsylvania. Jen has since decided to return to architecture and has started taking the Architects Registration Exam.
Aaron Woolverton is currently studying Architecture at Drexel University and working with us full time providing support on several of our recent projects including Azalea Apartments, Lafayette Gateway Student Housing, and the Student Center at Loomis Chaffee School. Aaron has two years of experience with the Sheward Partnership and is skilled in designing and documenting in Revit. He spends some of his (limited) free time snowboarding and kite surfing.
Nestor Kurtz is a multi-discipline designer with experience in both architecture and graphic design. He manages the development of our firm’s marketing materials and other promotional items and provides support on our projects, as well. Nestor studied Architecture at Drexel University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from Rutgers University. In his spare time, he collects and blogs about sneakers.
Joanne Ho, our newest employee, was born in Singapore and raised in Beijing. She has experience in schematic design and 3D modeling for multi-generational housing. Joanne studied Urban Design and Architectural Studies at New York University and received her Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute where she graduated with honors. Her love of travel and thirst for knowledge recently led her to the world of physics; she is currently studying its relationship to Eastern philosophical processes of thinking.
