Shakespeare in Santa Fe
Our recently completed amphitheater at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, designed in collaboration with landscape architect W. Gary Smith, was recently transformed into an elegant outdoor theater for the inaugural Shakespeare in the Garden. For two weeks in August, Shakespeare in Santa Fe and the Shakespeare Guild performed a thrilling production of the Tempest. We planned and designed "the Gathering Place" at the gardens with the idea that it would be periodically transformed for new uses. Little did we know that the first such use would be a dramatic shipwreck! The stage design and technical direction was by Jay Bush, with whom we collaborated on the design of Christ Church Santa Fe.
