Atkin Olshin Schade Architects Promotions!
Atkin Olshin Schade Architects is pleased to announce the promotions of several key staff members to kick off 2015. Associates Lisa Dustin, AIA in Philadelphia and Shawn Evans, AIA in Santa Fe have been elevated to Associate Principals, and architects Paul Avazier, AIA, LEED AP in Philadelphia and Daniel Barboa, RA in Santa Fe have been named Associates.
Lisa Dustin, AIA, has managed many of our projects for cultural and higher educational institutions including Brown Hall at Princeton University, winner of a 2014 New Jersey AIA Design Award. She is currently working on the construction phase for a new, 130-bed residence hall at Bryn Mawr College; a new, 50-bed residence hall at Loomis Chaffee School; and renovations to historic Dillon Gymnasium at Princeton University. Lisa joined Atkin Olshin Schade Architects in 1992 and has been an Associate since 2003.
Shawn Evans, AIA, Director of Cultural and Preservation projects, has led many of our projects at historic sites and institutions including Cherokee Castle in Colorado, Ohkay Owingeh in New Mexico, Fort Apache in Arizona, Eastern State Penitentiary, and the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at University of Pennsylvania in Pennsylvania. Shawn relocated to Santa Fe from Philadelphia in 2012 to better serve our Southwest clients. He is the recipient of the prestigious James Marston Fitch Mid-Career Grant from the James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation, and is currently a board member of the New Mexico Heritage Preservation Alliance. Shawn joined the firm in 1995 and was named Associate in 2003.
Paul Avazier, AIA, LEED AP, has been a Project Manager for many of our academic clients including Friends Select School, Santiago Christian School, Episcopal Academy, and Lafayette College. Paul is currently working on a new, 50-bed residence hall at Loomis Chaffee School; façade renovations to Conwell and Carnell Halls at Temple University, and renovations to Building 57 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. He is a former Board Member of the Philadelphia AIA. Paul began work at Atkin Olshin Schade Architects in 2007.
Daniel Barboa, RA, has been a key member of our Santa Fe office since its inception, working widely throughout New Mexico and the southwest on a wide range of projects, including the Kewa Safety Complex, winner of an AIA Santa Fe Honor Award. He has extensive experience with projects on Native American tribal lands including Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, I-Sah’-Din’-Dii Housing Development for the Mescalero Apache, Sandia Pueblo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, and Cochiti Pueblo. Daniel joined the firm in 2005.
