Cafe at Lehigh University Fairchild-Martindale Library Officially Opens
Cafe FML, a new dining facility designed by AOS Architects in the Fairchild-Martindale Library at Lehigh University, is a lively and inviting space where students and faculty can dine, work and socialize. The 45-seat cafe opens off the library’s central atrium and an outdoor breezeway. The replacement of the solid limestone west facade with large windows fills the space with natural light and offers views to the new outdoor dining terrace. Contemporary design details in the café were inspired by the mid-century modern motifs of the original building. The cafe has already become a hub of activity where students come to study in groups or to take a break from classes and with classmates and faculty.
