Lansdowne Theater and College Hall Recognized with AIA Design Awards
Our recent project to restore and renovate the West Wing of College Hall at the University of Pennsylvania has been recognized with a 2026 AIA Tri-State Design Award.
The project encompassed a comprehensive renovation of College Hall’s West Wing, maintaining the landmark building’s Gothic Revival character while creating accessible, sustainable, and technologically advanced spaces for academic use.
Our restoration and renovation of the historic Lansdowne Theater has been recognized with a 2026 AIA Philadelphia Design Award.
Originally constructed in 1927, AOS carried out a comprehensive restoration that preserves its historic architectural character while revitalizing the building as a cultural and performance venue. The project included restoration of the historic auditorium, lobby, and exterior façade, along with new performance support spaces to accommodate contemporary theater operations.
We are grateful to our clients, collaborating consultants, and the AIA awards juries for recognizing these projects and their contributions to the preservation and continued use of historic buildings.
