Michael Schade, AIA to Speak at Two Upcoming Conferences

Michael Schade, AIA is a featured speaker at the Pennsylvania Statewide Conference on Heritage in Chambersburg, PA on June 20th. One of Pennsylvania’s leading conferences on preservation, the Statewide Conference on Heritage celebrates the state’s most accomplished preservationists and their work. As part of the conference, AOS Architects will be honored with a Public Impact Award for our work at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House. Mike will discuss the story and challenges behind our renovation of the Met in a presentation titled “From Dream to Reality: Restoration of the National Historic Landmark Metropolitan Opera House.” Joining Mike will be Robert Powers from Powers & Company, Eric Blumenfeld from EBRM Realty, and Scott Zuckerman from Domus.

Mike will also speak at the SCUP Mid-Atlantic Symposium at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA on June 17th. Along with Peggy Ann Seiden from Swarthmore College and Elizabeth McMahon from HDR, Mike will lead a session called “The Informal Learning Environment: What’s It Look Like?” The session will present informal learning environment imagery and explore design strategies to improve effective learning outside of classrooms at higher education institutions.
