Shawn Evans Selected to Train Tribal Communities in Museum Design
AOS is pleased to announce that Principal Shawn Evans, AIA has been selected by the Association of Tribal Archives Libraries and Museums (ATALM) as one of three architects to lead the development of a year-long program to train tribal communities in the planning and design of tribal museums. Shawn and his colleagues are currently providing a series of design webinars to nine tribal communities from across the country. Later this summer they will meet in Oklahoma to tour a variety of tribal museums and begin collaborating on developing concepts for the cohort museums. The project will conclude with presentations at ATALM’s annual conference in Washington DC in November. Read more about the project here.
